Spring Lunch ‘n Learn: Social Media Strategies with Kris Ruby, President of Ruby Media Group

Join us to meet your Westchester and Fairfield County colleagues and discuss hot topics in social media strategies for law firms.  Kristen Ruby will share some of her tips for best practices and guide us through new ideas.

This is an opportunity to share our experiences, what works and what doesn’t and learn something new!

Kristen is at the epicenter of the social media marketing world and frequently speaks to businesses and associations on new media and viral marketing.  Kristen was honored by Columbia University’s Business School to lead a social media workshop for its alumni organization and was chosen to speak on personal brand authenticity at Microsoft.

She has partnered up with some of Westchester’s most reputable PR and marketing agencies as their New Media Specialist on social media campaigns, including Co Communications and DataKey Consulting. Kris has filmed segments on personal branding, social media overload, and how social media is impacting dating on ABC Good Morning CT and NBC.  Kris is also a columnist for JMAG & Inside Chappaqua Magazine on social media/ branding and was chosen by the Business Council of Westchester as the youngest “40 Under 40″ Rising Stars for 2010.

Social Media Marketing Workshop Planned for June 10

The Westchester County Association, Ruby Media Group and Hospitality Resource Group, Inc. will present a workshop, “Social Media Marketing,” 8:30-10:30 AM, Thursday, June 10, at the Sam’s of Gedney Way, White Plains.

(HRG), a Westchester-based management consortium specializing in event planning, corporate training and marketing and brand management, will present a workshop, “Social Media Marketing,”

8:30-10:30 AM, Thursday, June 10, at the Sam’s of Gedney Way, White Plains.

The workshop will be led by speaker Kristen Ruby of Ruby Media Group, a White Plains-based public relations, personal branding and social media agency. Ruby will give each participant an interactive session regarding the main social media networks, which include LinkedIN, Twitter and Facebook.

This is the third session of The Continuing Knowledge Series, which was launched last December, to help business professionals navigate their way through difficult economic times and prepare them to succeed as the economy recovers.

“Social Media Marketing” will help participants to learn a variety of useful marketing techniques concerning numerous media outlets. Specifically, one will show how to optimize content by leveraging social media sites for personal as well as corporate branding through new marketing distribution channels. Additionally, participants will be able to view live examples of LinkedIN profiles, a business-oriented social networking site that is successful for lead generation and branding.
